デンマークの暮らしに根付く「ヒュッゲ」
このヒュッゲ（Hygge）は、「人と人とのふれあいから生じる温かく居心地の良い雰囲気」を指すデンマークの言葉です。各人が自分のライフスタイルを大切にしているからこそ、幸福度ランキングの上位常連にもなっているわけです。
このヒュッゲという言葉、名詞としてだけでなく「ヒュッゲする」という動詞としても使われています。デンマークでは朝が早く、7時くらいから働き始めるかわりに、夕方4時ごろには仕事を終え家に帰ります。そして、家族がいる場所＝「ヒュッゲな空間」であり、仕事よりも家族を優先しリラックスタイムをもつ。プライベートに仕事をもち込まないというのが、デンマーク人のヒュッゲ精神だとされています。

"Hygge" rooted in Danish life
This word Hygge is a Danish term referring to a "warm and cozy atmosphere arising from human interaction." It is precisely because each individual values their own lifestyle that Denmark is a regular at the top of the happiness rankings.
The word hygge is used not only as a noun, but also as a verb: "to hygge." In Denmark, people start work early, around 7:00 AM, but in return, they finish work and head home around 4:00 PM. A place where family is equals a "hygge space," prioritizing family over work to have relaxing time. Keeping work out of private life is considered the Danish spirit of hygge.
