On the upcoming October 10th (Sat) \u2013 11th (Sun), we will host the dream "Kominka (Traditional House) + Norikura Ride" in Nagano Prefecture, a paradise for cyclists.
\nThe "Agritourism Shiga Promotion Council" in Matsumoto renovated the historic traditional house "Former Honjin Ozawa Residence" and opened it as a luxury accommodation facility in September.
\nThe Former Honjin Ozawa Residence is located at Hofukuji-juku on the old Edo Highway connecting the Matsumoto Plain to Ueda. It is a historic building that was even used by the lords of the Matsumoto Domain during their sankin-kotai (alternate attendance) processions in the Edo period. Staying at this traditional home, this dream tour allows you to enjoy a ride exploring the historic sites of Suwa and Matsumoto, alongside every cyclist's dream, the "Norikura Hillclimb," all in one trip. At the Ozawa Residence, enjoy a special dinner bathed in the atmospheric light of candle arrangements by traveling candle artist Chiemi Sara. Savor a Japanese dinner prepared by the chef of "Restaurant Hikariya" (operated by Matsumoto's premier luxury resort Tobira Group), using seasonal ingredients such as rich organic vegetables from Kajiwara Farm in the Shiga area, and fully enjoy an evening in this elegant, traditional home.
\nDuring dinner, we plan to hold a strategy session for tackling Norikura led by JVR Special Director Marco Favaro, as well as a planning meeting for next year's scheduled "Shimanami Kaido Touring" and "L'Eroica Tour."<\/p>\n
